Applications are invited from eligible individuals and organisations for two cultural mobility initiatives of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie. « En Scène ! » offers grants in performing arts field for touring and network building. « Édition Limitée » supports training  of fashion designers and creators of luxury articles.
There are specific conditions for eligibility and all the information for applicants is in French.
Check the map of the Francophonie member countries to see if you may be eligible to apply. Open call for Singapore Fringe Festival 2017 – on the theme of ‘Art and Skin‘. The theme for M1 Singapore Fringe Festival 2017 is Art and Skin. We are looking for works in all disciplines that will fall within that theme. Applications accepted from professional Singapore and international artists/ companies.

The M1 Singapore Fringe Festival is an annual festival of theatre, dance, music, visual arts and mixed media created and presented by Singaporean and international artists. Themed differently each year, the Festival aims to bring the best of contemporary, cutting-edge and socially-engaged works to the Singapore audience. The M1 Singapore Fringe Festival is set to be a creative centre, with a twin-purpose of innovation and discussion; a platform for meaningful and provocative art to engage our increasingly connected and complex world.

The largest organ of the human’s body is the skin. A vessel for protection, identification, attraction and stimulation. It sweats, stretches, tears, heals and scars. It defends, dies, shreds and regenerates. It crawls and tingles, calluses and ruptures. It burns, blisters, blushes, bruises and peels. It chaps and scales, it tingles, inflames and it wrinkles.

Each square inch of human skin is home to approximately 30 million bacteria and 20 feet of blood vessels. We renew our skin monthly, shedding approximately 600,000 skin particles a day. It is said that up to half the dust in our homes is made up of our dead skin.

In an age where we are more aware than ever of our image, our identity, and our potential to alter our own appearance, we hope that the theme of Art and Skin will welcome a creative exploration and dialogue into matters of identity, beauty, intimacy, sensitivity, pleasure, pain and shame.

ANTI – Contemporary Art Festival is an international contemporary arts festival presenting site-specific works made for public space in Kuopio, Finland. ANTI presents live, sonic, visual and text-based art from today’s most exciting and innovative artists. A truly international festival and Finland’s foremost presenter of Live Art, ANTI is a meeting place for artists and audiences fascinated by how art shapes the spaces of everyday life.
In September 2015 ANTI Festival will collaborate with the Kuopio Marathon to present a unique series of cultural events created in response to the race. We invite proposals for projects that engage with one or more of the following areas:
·      Duration, longevity and time; the long and short of time-based activities
·      Sport and culture, sporting culture, cultural sport
·      The body and endurance – expanded ideas of endurance: political, social, cultural forms of endured activity; the social agency of endurance
·      The quantified self: fitness culture, technology and performance
·      The race, racing and competitive frameworks
·      Participation and mass events – the individual and the many
·      The enthusiast and the amateur: the cultural agency of the ‘trained’ every-person
·      Topographic trajectories and spatial intervention: running/reading/using the city
ANTI is a site-specific festival – we do not show projects in traditional cultural spaces, thus projects have a direct relationship with the spaces and places they are shown in. When proposing a project please make it clear where your project would ideally be located, and why. The 2015 festival will take place in and round the Kuopio Marathon – projects are imagined to establish a number of relationships with the race itself; some may engage directly with the event while others might happen in parallel to it etc.
The Kuopio Marathon was first held in 1998. 2015 will see around 2,500 runners take part. The event comprises a mix of distances – full marathon, half marathon, 10K (walk or run) and a series of races for children. The events takes place across the 4th and 5th of September. International Video Art Festival "Now&After" is an annual event held in Moscow, Russia, and traditionally hosted by a museum. During several weeks “Now&After” festival program is being demonstrated as a unique integrated video installation that includes all participants’ works. Apart from general demonstration, one video of the program is being presented every day, and during that day it is being demonstrated on the designated screen as video installation called “Video Now”.

Videos should have quality not less than 720px X 576px.

PICTURE BERLIN is a six-week summer program designed for emerging artists working in contemporary art and photography. A rigorous studio practice forms the heart of the program and working in community with other artist is its soul. The dynamic programming offers over 15 lectures by Berlin-based artists, one-on-one discussions with over ten international artists and curators, multiple exhibitions, group meals and work reviews, studio visits, a curatorial marathon, and six choreographed artist walks. The city shapes the program and is the springboard naturally flowing into the greater European art scene. As we mark the fifth year, the 2014 summer session offers the opportunity to participate in September's PICTURE BERLIN Festival.

Founded in 2009 by artists for artists, PICTURE BERLIN continues to be run by artists as a hybrid program merging the concentrated studio practice of an artist residency with the support of the art academy. PICTURE BERLIN becomes a network designed in part by each session's artists. As the weeks go by, living and working together, the boundaries dissolve. There is no separation between studio practice, a one-on-one critique, or a shared meal. Every experience informs the next.

As the fifth session closes we are excited to honor our experiences by hosting a PICTURE BERLIN Festival, for our 2010–2014 PICTURE BERLIN alumni artists. The 29 August–13 September 2 week Festival features wide-ranging events from showing in a series of exhibitions, to giving artist talks and having peer-to-peer portfolio reviews and reviews by curators–bringing home our international PICTURE BERLIN community.

AIVA 2014 INTERNATIONAL VIDEO ART FESTIVAL,OPEN CALL

AIVA 2014 Finspång
Finspång is a small industrial town in the beautiful and rugged countryside in the mining region of Bergslagen. It was early on the scene in Sweden´s industrial history and in the mid-sixteenth century the first ironworks was founded on the river Finspångsån.
Finspång is also home to world-class art. The Reijmyre glassworks started making mouth-blown glass in 1810, making it the second-oldest glassworks in Sweden still in operation.

The second edition of the AIVA Video Art Festival will run for three days, from May 28th – 31th.
The main purpose of the festival is the free presentation, promotion and development of international video art and to create a new, alternative, peripheral meeting point for emerging and established video and media artists from all over the world.
Selection is open for 2 single channel works maximum per artist and category.
Max duration 10 minutes for the open call works.
Submitted works will not be returned, but stored in the AIVA archive.
If there is dialogue in the video(s) and its not in English it must be subtitled.
There is no entry fee and AIVA cannot offer any payment for screened works.

VIDEOHOLICA International Video Art Festival in Varna, Bulgaria starts the new open call for video art submissions for its 7th edition. The 7th VIDEOHOLICA will take place between 1st and 7th August 2014 in Varna, Bulgaria.
This year's edition of VIDEOHOLICA will be accompanied by an international panel discussion on the issues and opportunities for alternative video art distribution and creating on-site archive of video art in Bulgaria.
The theme of VIDEOHOLICA 2014 is 7.
7 appears to be a hyper functional number featuring multiple typical symbolic and meaningful encumbrances. According to many, 7 is a sacred or primal number, a symbol of beginning and creation. Others define 7 as the golden mean between the first number 1 and the odd 13. According to some, 7 symbolizes the end or death, because it closes a series of various human phenomena in a cycle of 7, after which nothing happens. There are concepts, according to which 7 symbolizes harmony, connectivity and integrity bringing together 3 as a symbol of the intangible and ideological and 4 - as that of intangible. If in this irrational syncretism the disposition of 7 is also a base (beginning), medium, end, and all taken together, then the math is definitely funny and a hypothetical artistic study - very curious.
 In its 7th year, VIDEOHOLICA recognizes 7 as its own existential performativity, but not to highlight its existing complex symbolism but to provoke new multidirectional thinking, associations and interpretations beyond the real potentiality of 7. What does 7 count for/ depict? What is more and what is less than 7? Is 7 enough? Where is the place of 7 in today's multitudinous/ multifunctional world? With these and other questions we are searching for poetic, abstract, ironic, conditional, metaphoric and literal comments on the moving image, committed to decompose the audio-visual and conceptual matrix of the figure 7.
VIDEOHOLICA 2014 will be again composed of the sections: video art, short films and animation.
VIDEOHOLICA 2014 will award the following prizes:

We are looking for innovative and exciting live art works for children and young adults to be presented at ANTI Festival 23-28 September 2014. We are especially keen to receive proposals for projects where young people have a participatory or collaborative role in the work. All works will be presented to a mixed, public audience.

Projects may take any form – lasting 30 minutes or many weeks, for an audience of one or many. Please note ANTI is a site-specific festival – we do not show projects in traditional cultural spaces, thus projects have a direct relationship with the spaces and places they are shown in. Five years after the outbreak of the biggest post-war financial and economic crisis, have we really learned anything? Have we understood the pathologies that can be unleashed by an alliance of liberal democracy and market economy that we came to consider as part of the natural order and without alternative? Have we really understood the financial turn, with all its consequences, its devastating effects for the global economy, but also for democracy and human rights, that dramatic shift from tangible to virtual capital, in which assets, concrete and abstract alike, are created and destroyed in fractions of a second?

Understanding the mechanics of capitalism today has become an increasingly complex task given that it has morphed into forms that are increasingly intangible and immaterial. Money, finance and economics have thus become such abstract, opaque concepts that only a few people can understand them fully. The very concept of the notion of money has changed from being an operative aspect of the economy to something able to justify an increasingly speculative economy where money is being harnessed to produce more money; where money is increasingly being made out of immaterial goods and services, out of itself, out of the bare life of human beings, even out of thin air, it would seem.

The exhibition Liquid Assets: In the Aftermath of the Transformation of Capital explores the changes incurred to the financial system and presents a range of international artists who are engaged in exploring the shifting, viral nature of capitalism. It aims to light on the opacity of finance, the current non-transparency of money, and the causes and practices that lie behind financial crises in the present time. Ranging from time-based practices to sculpture and installations, the works on view—a large part of them especially commissioned and produced by steirischer herbst—bring to the fore the dramatic changes that the entanglements of finance, speculation and politics have been enacting on the social body, affecting both bios and anthropos and simultaneously raising issues about the ethics of capitalism and current financial practices.
