Taking place from 23 - 31 January, the Brafa, one of the most prestigious European art and antiques fairs, will inaugurate the 2016 calendar of unmissable cultural events.This year, thanks to the re-organization of the main entrance, the new exhibition space will welcome 137 galleries. There is over ten per cent more space and the same increase in the number of exhibitors, an expansion that marks the growing demand for stands at the fair, and the organizers’ desire to propose an even greater variety of the highest quality art.
The new exhibitors include famous galleries that specialize in archaeology, Old Masters, design, modern and contemporary art. The selection reflects two things: Brussels’ ever-strengthening international appeal on the art market and the flourishing attraction of avant-garde art.

Prized by Belgian and foreign art lovers and collectors for its eclecticism, the fair will propose exceptional pieces for sale, including old, modern and contemporary paintings, drawings, sculptures, furniture, 20th century design, tribal art, classical and pre-Columbian archaeological treasures, Oriental art, jewellery and other fascinating objects…The Ghent Floralies is the guest of honour at this 61st edition of the fair, Tour & Taxis will be transformed into a greenhouse by the inspired ‘floral composer’ Mark Colle. Renowned for his stunning floral creations for Dries Van Noten and Dior fashion shows, his colourful, ephemeral sculptures will delight visitors and add a touch of exoticism to its visit.Guided tours at 3pm and talks at 4pm conducted by art-world specialists, designed to satisfy the most curious of art-lovers, will also take place daily.Discover the new colourful edition of BRAFA and let yourself be transported on a magical journey through eras and cultures.
