Organized by BolognaFiere, Arte Fiera 2014, Italy's major modern and contemporary art tradeshow and one of the most important in Europe, will be held in Bologna from 24 to 27 January 2014. 172 Italian and international galleries will be showing (+ 27% more than in 2013). The programme will range from the second half of the 19th century and will include a special focus on Eastern European countries and China.
Collectors will be directly involved in a special exhibition:
Arte Fiera Collezionismi - Il Piedistallo vuoto. Fantasmi dall'Est Europa, curated by Marco Scotini. Hosted by Bologna's Archaeological Museum, the exhibition will run until 16 March 2014.
Arte Fiera will also have a whole new section dedicated to galleries specialising in photographic art. Solo Show and New Proposals will once again be on the bill.
