International Interpretation Workshop of Contemporary Lyric Art

This experimental, cultural, artistic, professional and human meeting is a preliminary step to the Delta Ensemble's great European project for the next decade: to gather a team of artists from every horizon, for which the score of Jean-Paul G Noguès's next opera ([Meta]morphosis) will be tailor-made. This workshop offers, at the same time as potential professional job opportunities related to the Delta Ensemble's artistic project, the chance of a rewarding step of training and professionalization. Indeed, the set up pedagogical objectives, means, and staff are those of a true professional training in terms of role preparation and stage performance. The status of each participant will be adapted according to her/his specific profile (participant, guest artist or coach).

Opera singers (male/female of all tessitura) - 2 days of introduction and work with the composer will be scheduled in April, by appointment (with one or two singers). At the end of this meeting, the composer will write a dedicated score and a tailor-made role for each singer (who will possibly be able to choose the text and the sung language). During the workshop, the arias will be auditioned, worked again, staged, shot in video then performed for an audience with all or a part of the gathered instrumental line-up. Each will also be able to present and record an aria of her/his choice.

Classical musicians: flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn, bassoon, violin, viola, cello, double bass and percussions.
The workshop does not consist in a simple work of accompaniment. The instrumental scores, written like true roles, will also be tailor-composed according to the musicians' personalities and techniques. An individual work of preparation is planned, in close connection with the composer. We can also schedule several preparatory auditions-meetings in April and June.

Multi-media artists:
stage directors - film-makers - cameramen - lighting engineers -film editors - visual artists - set designers - costume designers etc.

Muti-media bonus : An individual multimedia presentation will be offered to all participants including auditioning, stage performance, interviews, photos, CV... The presentation will be published on a specially created web page and on other networks for professional promotion. All the material produced will be given to the participants.
