Artists are invited to submit entries by 27 January 2012 for pre-selection in the first international festival of contemporary sculpture to be staged in the National Botanical Garden after Hryshko in Kyiv, Ukraine, from 2 June to 2 July, 2012.
The festival aims to present a variety of trends in contemporary sculpture. The main project will represent artworks by Ukrainian and international artists without age limitation. Existing sculptures as well as proposals of sculptures are eligible for entry.

SCULPTURES ELIGIBLE FOR ENTRY

Existing sculptures (produced after 2009) and proposals are eligible for entry to KSP.

All types, forms and sizes of sculpture in all materials are eligible for entry to KSP. The exhibition site can accommodate the largest to the smallest sculpture, however when submitting works artists are required to consider safety, ease of installation and removal, the environment and the ability of their work to withstand the natural setting.

New media, installation and non-object based proposals are also acceptable. The only sculptures that may be ineligible for the exhibition are those using fire, water or very loud amplified sound.

SUBSIDIES
The curatorial panel will select 7 artists both Ukrainian and international, who will receive financial support to produce, install and de-install the sculpture. Funding will be determined individually for each proposal. The artist must provide a detailed budget once shortlisted.

AWARDS
The award winners’ ceremony will be held 30 June 2012.
Best Project Award and Best Emerging Artist Award will be chosen by the Expert Committee. The Project Sponsor (for consistency) of the festival will select the Special Award. The Audience Choice Prize will be awarded on the results of the audience voting.

Submit the following materials:

For existing sculptures

• Filled application form
• Photographs of your work (minimum 3 images, different views) in either JPEG or TIFF format, minimum 300 dpi \ 1MB. Electronic images cannot be supplied on disk and must be sent by e-mail as an attachment.
• Photos of previous works (minimum 3) to support the assessment of the submission.
• A brief artist statement about the work (about 10 sentences)
• A brief description of technical aspects regarding sculpture installation, de-installation and logistics
• One page CV

For works in progress and proposals

• Filled application form
• Brief concept and technical information about the art work
• A4 sized drawings\visual designs in JPEG, PDF or TIFF format
• Detailed information related to the art work production (necessary materials and technical rider)
• Detailed budget of the production (for funding)
• Photographs of the model of the future art work (if exists)
• Photos of previous works (minimum 3) to support the assessment of the submission.
• A brief artist statement about the work (about 10 sentences)
• A brief description of technical aspects regarding sculpture installation, de-installation and logistics
• One page CV

All documents, including images must be sent in one letter by e-mail to the address below. The title of images should consist of the artist’s name and the sculpture’s title.

Among all applicants who submitted applications in time, the curatorial panel will select 15 artists. Artists whose works are shortlisted will be notified by the email specified in the application form no later than 2 February 2012.
Official results of the selection and a complete list of festival participants will be published on the webpage no later than 7 February 2012.
